Sneak Peek to My New Footnotes from the Most Fascinating Museums
(Monday Morning Quarterbacking the Super Bowl and a Caption Contest)
(Great game. Congratulations to Taylor Swift, but I thought both teams played their hearts out…Loved seeing Carrot Top. He’s a really good guy…Halftime? Well performed. Did I know any of the songs? No. Am I tired of the same type of choreographed bits, always musical, not really visual? Yes. Nothing really different has been done for a halftime in ages. We’re in Vegas. How about some Blue Man Group? A Vegas tribute? Neon lights and some distinct Vegas graphics. It is/was home to the greatest singers. Would some Sinatra be so bad? A Dean Martin tribute? How about a hologram of Andy Kaufman’s Elvis? Why is it always hundreds of dancers twerking?)
There is only one caption contest in town that gives real money. This is the new contest running at the CartoonStock dot com which is giving $1,000 in prize money. To enter go here and good luck.
As promised here is a free excerpt from my new book Footnotes from the Most Fascinating Museums: Stories and Memorable Moments from People Who Love Museums by Chronicle Books.
