My husband and I are constantly discussing what to do with my Mother's decades worth of nick Knacks and collectibles. Are they worth anything to anybody? I argue "no". But after seeing your outing at the flea market, I'm rethinking. Maybe a very large yard sale this summer. And instead of the British Bull Dog Cookie jar itself, can I have a purchase the painting of the British Bull Dog Cookie jar?
It is generally illegal to keep USPS mail totes without authorization. The USPS considers these totes property of the Postal Service and their unauthorized use is a federal crime. While there may be specific instances where mail totes are permitted for businesses or couriers involved in mail operations, generally keeping them outside of postal service operations is not permitted.
Wonderful issue, bob...thanks for the Arthur Getz rabbit hole (www.arthurgetz.com), which afforded a counterpoint of pleasure this morning of the usual awful news. And too, the peek into the past via the New Yorker lens. Your commentary plus the master cartoons already made my day! Sending hugs.
Love the army field telephone— we have one in our house. Everyday we are waiting for it to ring and tell us the attack has begun. ❤️

Sounds good.
Why do you have USPS totes? I certainly wouldn't photograph them and put them online . . .
Those came with the truck. I didn’t even notice. Is there a problem with them being photographed?
Unless that is a USPS truck, it is illegal to keep USPS totes for personal use. Or are those full of things to be mailed?
To clarify, that is not my truck or truck rental or my stuff or postal boxes in the truck, but someone else's.
The person they belong to state they were given to them and not illegal to use. Not agreeing with that, just passing along what they said.

I'll share this information with the person involved, thanks.

Thanks, Sharon.
That Steinberg cartoon is, of course, genius!
