Sounds good. I have reached that stage in my life where a good birthday is simply cake, and my spouse cooks dinner. And now I have learned that a Pitch Hopper exists. Thank you.
Oh my. So many books I WANT!!! Can’t do it on SS though. One Lotto win away…
I have the deepest respect and admiration for Gentlemen who publicly declare their admiration for their wives. It’s uncommon, for silly reasons, so more so a beautiful thing. I wish you both many more Happy Birthdays to come! 🎉🎊🪅
I particularly love that you honor museums for being more than the sum of their collection.
I was really lucky to have a mom who got us to museums from very early ages, so it has always been a natural welcoming habitat to me.
When I was in 9th grade, visiting NYC Met, took a turn around a corner and saw a mindblowing painting that turned me into an artist on the spot. (And I still do not paint).
So many experiences that could only happen in museums; crossing language barriers, eons of time, finding funny parallels with artifacts from generations ago, or getting a taste of a country that I will never visit. You could call it my version of ‘church’.
There are two on my fantasy list now:
A rural farm in Parma, IT where every wall is covered with hand made tools (sculpture to me)
And the brand new huge Egyptian museum putting the treasures in situ, where they are not exotic, but in context. Looks incredible!
I hope you will write about your own aspirations of museums yet to see. (Did you know there’s a penis museum in Iceland? I didn’t until I was looking up something about reindeer…)
Hi Ali, Thanks for sharing this. I would have loved to know what that painting in the MET was. I'm afraid you're more excited about an Egyptian museum for reasons I can't explain. Speaking of excited, I DID visit the penis museum, during my honeymoon.

Thanks. Happy early or belated birthday.
Thank you. Early. I'll have my cake and eat it in September.
how about if you fall down on the field after an encounter with an opponent, you must leave the game without a sub.
Certainly better than falling off the roof.
Where is this house?
Where the heart is. Not allowed for a specific reason to share where I exactly live.
Understood.

Promise if you hit the Mega Bucks you will revisit the book promotion. Thanks, Bob
Of course!!! I would make a party of just that!

I thought the cake looked good, though it didn’t undersell itself. Well done on the maintenance. Walks with friends and family are the best.
Thanks, John. I agree.
